Britannia Archaeology Ltd is an archaeological consultancy and contractor based in East Anglia, specialising in the provision of archaeological services associated with discharging archaeological planning conditions and pre-planning application investigations.
We realise that our clients find archaeology can be a substantial hurdle to fulfilling their planning conditions and we offer a variety of services to help them through the process. Our services include consultancy, project management, in-house geophysical prospection, trial trench evaluation, excavation, monitoring and advice on archaeological matters relating to Heritage Statements, Environmental Impact Assessments and public enquiries.
Our team can advise you at every stage of a project, guiding you through the planning and development control process and liaising with Local Planning Authorities and County Curatorial Archaeologists on your behalf. All of our archaeological work is carried out in compliance with the relevant professional standards and codes of practice of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists (CIfA).
